Join us as we shoot the sunrise amid Roan Mountain's beautiful rhododendron and azalea blooms! We'll meet at Carvers Gap and start our hike up the trail to Round Bald at 5:30 a.m. Some may choose to continue on to Jane Bald before sunrise arrives at 6:09 a.m. Following that, we'll be capturing landscapes and macro images of the colorful scenes. There are (unofficial) reports that the Rhododendron Gardens may be reopened by Saturday, so there's a chance to shoot there, as well. FYI - the Roan Mountain Rhododendron Festival takes place later in the morning, starting at 10 a.m. but, due to our early start, it won't affect our shoot. Hope to see you there!
