* Limited to a maximum of 8 particpants. (Then a waiting list.) * Please bring $40 in cash (and a $5 tip would be appreciated). * The official address is at the intersection that takes you north to the Poe's Ridge Boat Ramp. * Proceed counter-clockwise around the parking lot to the double depth spots on the SW side. * If you recognize a fellow member's vehicle, you may park behind them, with both vehicles for $5. * Otherwise parking is $5 at the entrance, unless you have proof of being a senior, then an AARP or Natl. Park Senior card may be placed on the dash. * Be there no later than 7:45 AM for a group shot, then board the boat for an 8:00 AM launch. Expect to return about 10:00 AM. * Be prepared for the sun with a hat, and for the birds with a long lens. * Captain David (919-741-3800) is very knowledgable of the bird habitats and photographic needs. * We may go the the dam afterwards at 2080 Jordan Lake Rd. and down, right, to the parking lot below. If water is releasing, the birds will be active. * Lunch may be at Viriie's Grill, 58 Hillsboro St. Pittsboro (just north of the town traffic circle). A 15 minute drive, arriving about 11:30.
