Regional Meeting Speaker Ideas

Event Creator

The event creator web page is a single interface that allows coordinators (or other members configured to do so) to create a calendar entry for outings and normal meetings. Automatically, the event creator does the following things:

Creates a “Landing Page” (details below), if event is for an outing.

Creates a “Calendar Event” for the selected region. Calendar event also shows up on the combined calendar for all regions. Calendar event links to the Landing Page (in #1), if event is for an outing.

Creates a Meetup event with event details that also links to the Landing Page (in #1).

If registration is required, a Wild Apricot (CNPA membership management system) event is creating which is linked from Landing Page, providing registration and automatic waitlisting ability (similar to the Annual Meeting).

If payment fee is required, the Wild Apricot event will be configured to require payment when sign-up occurs (just like Annual Meeting). Note: Coordinator would have to request check from CNPA for payout.

If the event is for an outing, a “Drop Zone” (allows easy upload of photos) is added to the Landing Page, as well as providing a link to a gallery viewer; which allows automatic viewing of any uploaded photos.

An email will be sent to all regional members (future enhancement), if “Send Mail” is selected. An email will be sent to regional coordinator regardless.

View and Export Event Attendees and Regional Members

The event exporter is used to export attendees for outings and events. In addition, it allows viewing of all members per region; checking on membership status.
