Members' Choice Winners -
A much anticipated feature of our annual meetings is the Members' Choice Contest. Members present prints in the competition and are themselves the judges. Each member attending the annual meeting votes to select winners in each category and also the "Best of Show" overall winner. Each year the categories are selected by the CNPA board. In past years categories have included Landscape, Wildlife, Macro, Digital Manipulation, and Birds.
The overall theme is that they must be nature-oriented, no domestic or captive animals, and if the image contains man-made objects, they cannot be the primary focus of the image or occupy more than 25% of the image. Members are allowed to enter a single image in each of several of the categories depending on how much space we have available to display the images.
The rules for the size of the prints, mounting requirements, and post-exposure manipulation are included in the Members' Choice Competition Guidelines found in the Annual Meeting Package.
