Lisa Cuchara will present Adding Impact to Your Nature Photography.
In bird photography, it is common to try to fill the frame to give viewers an up-close look at our unique feathered friends. But there's another approach that can also be incredibly powerful.
Join the High Country Region as we welcome Ray Hennessy, who will share his concepts and techniques for: Photographing Birds Small in the Frame.
Ray has mastered this style of environmental bird photography in which the subject often occupies less than 5% of the frame. The results are dramatic and compelling. You won't want to miss his talk!
The High Country Region is grateful to Ray for sharing his insights with us and to our friends at Hunt's Photo for underwriting this presentation!
Please RSVP here to receive Zoom details if you're not already subscribed to High Country Region emails.

The High Country Region is hosting a fun bird photography outing at Brookshire Park in Boone, NC.
While the park is modest in size at 8 acres, it is located alongside the South Fork of the New River and attracts an abundance of birds, especially along its riparian path and forest trail. Here's a helpful report from High Country Audubon listing some of the species often found there.
This outing will provide a timely follow up to pro shooter Ray Hennessy's presentation at our May 8 Zoom meeting titled, "Shooting Birds Small in Frame."
We'll plan to meet up at 7am in the main parking lot near the restrooms. For directions, check this Google Maps link.
CNPA member Kathy Stauss with Vision Art Gallery speaks on turning your photos into exhibited art. We encourage members to stay afterwards to socialize and enjoy a BBQ lunch.
