SEPTEMBER BONUS OUTING
Gary Carter Photography Workshop

Saturday, September 29, 8:00 am

Meeting Time and Location:
We will meet at the Holiday Inn Express in Greensboro at 7:30 am. From the parking lot, we will caravan to Gary’s house. The Holiday Inn Express is located at the intersection of I-40 and I-85; the phone number is: (336) 697-4000.

Shoot Details:
Gary Carter has been photographing nature since 1980, and his work has been featured in Birder’s World, Birds & Blooms, and Nature’s Best. Gary has developed an area of three plus acres at his home for photographing wildlife and the area has been certified as a Backyard Wildlife Habitat by the National Wildlife Federation. Gary’s setup features areas to attract birds, butterflies, and insects. Thirty varieties of birds visit Gary’s setup including bluebirds, various woodpeckers, cardinals, chickadees, and wrens. The highlight of Gary’s backyard is his large bird blind, which we will take turns in so that everyone gets a chance to shoot the birds. In the middle of the day, Gary will provide lunch and we will have a photo presentation. Attendees are encouraged to bring 3 digital images or slides to share for the mid-day activities. If you would like more info about Gary and his backyard or to see sample photos of what you can expect to see, please visit his website http://www.garycarterphotos.com/

Due to the dry weather, the conditions at Gary's are less than optimal so this outing is going to be delayed until Spring when conditions have improved.
