Anole in the Garden

Loved this little guy but wish he/she hadn't stopped with the light colored weed under the tail. Got this shot - then quickly gone. Nikon D2x with 18-200 VR zoom handheld at 200mm ISO 400. Don Wuori ie sisu

I'm supprised at the detail hand held--sharp lip scales, coloration detail on foreleg and veinitation (sp ??) on the leaf, etc. Very nice (my guess is quick) capture.

Don, another great shot, I assume this is a different anole than your peep-a-boo shot. I agree about the light colored vegetation but overall a very nice shot.

Nice detail for handheld! The background is a little busy, but the anole is awefully cute. :)
