After the Brevard Outing Oct 14-16

Looking for adventursome folks for some waterfall hikes after the weekend group shooting. My sister and family took me up last minute on an invitation to join us for the weekend on our vacation so my weekend shooting will be hampered a bit. We are staying till Thursday am. The place I'm renting is right at the Frozen Creek access to Gorges State Park. I have not hiked in the Park so can't give any info other than what's in Kevin Adam's book and online. Open to shooting about anywhere in the Brevard, Toxaway area.

Wish I could join you--that is a really beautiful area.

While there recently I explored the Gorges State Park grounds, and about all I found was construction and signs noting "This area closed to the public." Hopefully that will have changed by the time you get there, and more importantly, hopefully those signs don't apply to the hiking trails. I did not have time to hike any trails there, but the maps indicate some very strenuous stretches. I noticed that the park headquarters are in temporary quarters out on the highway rather than in the park.
