Suggestions wanted for Northern CA Coast

We'll be visiting California next week. In to Sacramento, then to the coast right above San Francisco, up the coast to the state line, then down and over the mountains to Redding, Sonoma, and back to Sacramento. Would especially like suggestions for shooting in the numerous coastal state parks but anything along our route will be greatly appreciated.

you will have a hard time going wrong in the Red Woods. Forest will be a unique challenge to find creative ways of truly showcasing the awesome size of those trees. Out on the beach, things become more dynamic but with lots of fog. You will have sea stacks, black sand, monster trees washed up on the beach that have fallen from eroding cliffs. The Kalamath runs into the Pacific there which offers some very unique landscape opportunities. There are LOTS of sea lions in this area as well. This is one of those locations you could spend a considerable amount of time if you have the patience to explore
