CAROLINA NATURE PHOTOGRAPHERS ASSOCIATION
MYRTLE BEACH REGION
FEBRUARY 17, 2008
Kim Jones called the meeting to order. She announced that our region currently has 66 members.
Jim Braxmeier gave a treasurer’s report.
Pat Schrtzinger announced that he had arranged for our next month’s outing to be to International Birds of Prey on Saturday, March 15.
The outings committee suggested several places for future outings and suggested that we have an overnight outing in May.
Bonnie Eaglin gave a report on the Education/Program Committee meeting. She presented a list of proposed programs for 2008.
Ron Blanchard announced the future shows and exhibits that Seacoast Artists Guild will be having. Photographers are welcome.
Kim announced that there would be a workday planned for March to help with the Brookgreen project. Date to be announced- watch the calendar.
She also announded that our CNPA Liability release forms need to be signed once a year. Kim has the forms.
Jim Braxmeier announced that the Sierra Club would like pictures for their newsletters. Contact Jim Braxmeier to learn more.
Our next monthly meeting will be March 16 at 6:00 p.m. at Pawleys Island library. Our program will be Mark Hilliard with a presentation on“Understanding Histograms Again”
BRING YOUR CAMERAS!!!!! (and instruction manual)
Our next outing will be to INTERNATIONAL BIRDS OF PREY on Saturday, March 15. We will meet at the Pawleys Island Food Lion at 7:30 to Carpool to IBOP.
April 19th we will go to the Waccatee Zoo. The egrets should be nesting by then. Time TBA.
The meeting was adjourned and the featured program was presented.This month’s program speaker was Anne Malarich who gave a presentation on metering and white balance.
