Have not done alot of macro. Found this in my garden. Used Nikon D200, 70-300mm lense w/ extension tubes.

Greetings Kimberly, Looks like you are on the right track, a nice image with lots of interest and color. Would like to see more DOF as the sharpness drops off rather abruptly from the foreground here. KC

Hi Kim, Nice shot. I really like using the extension tubes with a longer lens to get these macro shots. Agree that a slightly larger aperture would have helped but very nice as is.

An unusual composition which is neat. Agree with depth of field comments but still overall - I like it. Getting these bugs to sit still long enough is tough to say the least. sisu

Thanks to all those comments. I need to have one more thing handy---- my tripod!! That would have given me the depth of field that I needed. Thanks again!!
