Members from 3 different states joined in this out to Botany Bay for sunrise, the Angel Oak tree on Johns Island, and the sunset over Charleston.
At Botany Bay we photographed the sunrise over the boneyard. This boneyard is the remnants of a forest that once stood where the beach is now. All the trees have died because of the saltwater. Many trees have fallen and a few still stand in the sand. At mid tide the base of some of the trees were covered with water.
It was unusually cold, and the sunrise was a little less brilliant because of a low cloud cover on the horizon. All in all we had a great time.
Here is a shot from the trip.
