I purchased my domain name with the plan to develop a website to post, and publish some of my photos. I went with hostmonster.com who had a decent review and a special running.

www.tonybrianhardee.com

Does anyone have suggestions about how to develop an attractive site that is organized well to display photos and maybe a blog? I have no experience with HTML code. They website builder that they provide is very basic and kinda leaves me disappointed with the results.

Has anyone every purchased a template and used that successfully?

Is it hard to learn to build a website?

I don't have Frontpage, so is there a free/inexpensive alternative?

Any suggestions are appreciated

1. Frontpage is being replaced by Microsoft Expression and will no longer be supported. If you are okay with the Microsoft way of doing things it is fairly simple to learn.

2. Check out http://allwebcodesign.com/ for their templates. There are lots of sources for templates to get you started but I have used them and thery are fairly reasonable. My site (http://www.debrown-lifeimages.com) was started with one of their templates back in 1999 and has survived this far but I need to do some serious maintenance.

3. Look around at some of the support sites, like Adobe, and you will see lots of "starter" templates but you have to be careful the template one that makes changes/maintenance "easy" to do.
