The Charlotte Chapter would like to invite you to attend a two night Photo Tour of the very scenic Abingdon, VA area October 29th-31st, 2010.
Abingdon is a short two hour drive from Charlotte and well within easy distance of most of our other Chapters.
You will be able upon your arrival to team up with other photographers and choose between any of six specific photo tours from 47 to 150 miles in duration featuring truly unique views and features of the area.
Grist Mills, old barns and settlers cabins, mountain lakes, scenic vistas and waterfalls and the sunrise at Whitetop Mountain which overlooks VA, TN and NC are just a few of the featured attractions that you can choose to focus your
photographic skills upon.
In addition Abingdon is the location for the Barter Theater where Actors and Actresses such as Ernest Borgnine and Cissy Spacek started there careers literally by trading their acting talents for room and board.
The playbill at the Barter Theater for Friday and Saturday night performances feature "Where trouble sleeps", "Sherlock Holmes and the case of the Jersey Lily" and the "Woman in Black".
