ID Help Needed - Mushroom

OK, here is another fungi maybe not a mushroom but interesting. We found this guy in the Congaree Swamp I think in the Spring. This thing was probably 15-18 inches across, it looked huge. Anybody got an ID??

Robert, this looks like a late stage Oyster Mushroom. WIth this one it is really impossible to tell unless YOU look under it! There are 3 basic types of bottoms, gills (attatched or seperated to the stalk), holes in a solid bottom called bolets and teeth that look like small thin fingers hanging down. So, the lesson here is to take your photo then to take another of the bottom. Also look at what type of wood it is growing on. If you do this then you can ID it.

Thanks Mark, I'll remember to take some additional ID shots in the future. I'd never seen anything this large before, I thought size alone would be the determining factor.
