Pileated Woodpecker

I found this guy at Brookgreen sometime last year. Not a very good picture- he was up the tree a good distance and I had to crop alot- neat birds

Kim, this is better than any pileated shots I have, this bird that has eluded me despite several years of effort. For me this shot has a couple problems. It's a little cluttered which distracts from the subject. Also I wish the bird was facing toward the left a little more. Neat bird and one I will photograph in 2008.

Nice catch, Kim. I don't think I have seen one of these birds. Love the big red crest on it's head.

This bird has eluded me as well, but working on it and as with Robert certainly in 08.
