Attended the Charlotte Outing today at the Magic Wings Butterfly House in Durham (Museum of Life Sciences). Enjoyed sweating among the butterflies and even got a few "keepers" but I enjoyed this fellow most of all!!

That's a nice shot. Your angle appears to be level with the frog.

Are you photographing behind glass or is the frog in an area you can walk around? I have never been there.

The only thing I would nit pick about is I wish the frog was turned just a small amount toward the camera. But then that is probably more of a personal preference than anything else.

He sure was a cooperative tree frog - except that he wouldn't come over closer to the sidewalk... I still haven't decided what kind he is...

Neat shot, especially for the limited choices of where to shoot him from.

This one looks a tad oversaturated?

Good to see you today!

The Butterfly House is an open area in that there are walkways around and through the area. You must remain on the walkways and the from was about 20 feet or so away in the vegatation.
As for the other comment: I pumped up the saturation myself...works for me!

Okay, as long as you meant to do it...:D :D

It does help separate the frog from the leaf - and makes his eyes match the flowers!

Don, very nice frog, wish it were mine. Agree about the frog facing slightly away from you but this is much better than anything I have.

Great shot Don. Hate I missed that trip, got saddled with the one bug you can't photograph.....the flu.
