Our May Outing will occur on Saturday May 8th with a visit to the Beilder Forest in Harleyville SC - This is about an hour and a half drive from Columbia with opportunities to photograph songbirds (especially prothonotary warblers), owls, snakes, insects, landscapes and who knows what else - its always a surprise. I will be leading the trip and we will meet at the gate to Beidler at 8AM. The address is 336 Sanctuary Road, Harleyville, SC 29448. Please let me know if your interested in going by e mailing me: MrSisu@aol.com If you plan to stay the day there are some restaurants within 20 minutes but you can also bring your lunch and picnic. There is a mile and 3/4 boardwalk and the insects are generally not bad even though not a bad idea to bring some repellent. I would carry something to drink while on the boardwalk. There is an admission fee unless you have a yearly pass. Hope to see many of you.
