Woodstorks Pre Sunrise

Here is a pair of woodstorks taken in the low country of SC in June 07. Taken prior to sunrise and on an overcast day at a long distance with Nikon D2x and 200-400 with 1.4 tele extender. Cropped.

Nice image, the composition looks about right. I would like to see more color in the BG, and I wish the leg/beak merge wasn't there. I like the two different leg positions and the Spanish moss is cool.

As I first started scrolling down to the image I thought it was a water reflection. I like the silhouette of the birds interacting. Usually such a merge would be big no no, but somehow I think it works in this shot. Nice work. :)
