Hi all
A while ago I merged 5 photos in Photoshop CS2 -- it looked pretty good and I was pleased so I saved it.
The file is saved with a pmg extension -- I presume photoshop did this. Now I can't open the file.
Any suggestions please.
TIA
Tom F.

Try and see if you can right click on the file name and do a SAVE AS and change it to a jpeg or tif file. Did you mean a PNG file, it is one of the options in Photoshop.
Or try to rename the file and change the M to a N.

I was thinking what Robert said second.
I'd copy the file to another directory, and then rename it to xyz.png with an "n" replacing the "m" just in case it is that simple of an error.
I can't think of any other explanation. If that isn't it, I hope somebody else can help...

The pmg extension is used for Adobe's Photomerge Composition File. To open the file try: Automate > Photomerge > Load This should open a window that allows the pmg file to be opened. Make sure after the file is opened that you save the file to a tiff or whatever file format you normally use.
Hope this helps
