Hi Folks,

Lets use this thread to get an accounting of our group who is registered to attend the Grandfather Mountain Nature Photography Weekend On June 4-5. As in previous years we like to schedule a group dinner together on Friday night and some of us may wish to shoot together.

Ann Larsen and I are signed up as of 12:03 AM April first. The registration link went up at 11:59 PM a minute early. Hopefully all of you who wish to attend are up registering right now as this event in years past fills up in a few short hours.

Hope to see you there. We will likely stay at the Pixie in Linville which is at the base of the mountain. The Pixie still has their phone disconnected for the winter season but they should be open soon for reservations. I will post as soon as I can contact them.

I just got off of the phone with Landis at Grandfather Mountain and the 2010 Nature Photography Weekend was sold out in under 10 hours. If you are interested a waiting list is a possibility as some people's plans may change.

I hope all of our members got in under the wire.

As the list grows let me ask for suggestions on a dining venue for Friday evening. The Tapas restaurant we went to last year in Banner Elk was well received. But I am always open to suggestions. Here is a link to that spot for reference.

The PIXIE (PIXEL) INN has finally reopened for the season. If you want to reserve a room there I suggest you do it soon. The newer rooms are in the upper section. Their number is 828-733-2597. Remember they only take cash and checks, NO plastic money..
