A beetle munching thru a friends flower garden in Columbia. Taken with a tripod mounted Nikon D2X and 70-180 micro lens with an SB 800 flash powered back. Other settings not available.

Those guys are really out up this way, but not on anything nearly as colorful...

Good detail on the beetle--I think really good insect shots are about as hard to get as really good bird shots.
