The only way I could decide among the outings was to decide to stay over Sunday nite and do Cataloochee on my own Monday morning. If anyone wishes to join me, I would welcome the company!!

Hi Lorraine and Don, Excellent Idea.

Ann Larsen and Myself are registered for the (FR 01) waterfalls tour on Friday and the (SA 05) Botanical Gardens on Saturday.

Hope to see many friends there. It sure filled up fast, but I thought it would. I think they might need to consider a larger group for future outings given the size of the total organization.

The list has been updated. There are only a few of us registered. What's up with that?

It's likely that many of those from Charlotte who registered do not frequent the forums. However the Charlotte group is more active here by far than all of the other regions combined. It will be interesting to query the attendees at next months meeting to see who got in and those who may have waited too long and missed out.

Hello Folks,

I am new to the group having joined CNPA in January and attended the February Charlotte meeting.

I will be attending the midyear outing and signed up for the Friday Roan Mtn Balds and the Saturday Botanical Gardens.

Sounds like a good time.

Looking forward to meeting all of you.

Well I'm not a Charlotte Member but a frequent visitor. I am registered and will be going to Roan Mountain on Friday and Northern BRP on Saturday.

Sean,

You are always welcome to hang out with the Charlotte crowd.

Consider yourself one of our honorary members from another region. We have several....

Looking forward to a great weekend in the mountains.

I just wanted to bump this thread up to the top to see if the Charlotte members ate interested in having a group dinner on one of the evenings. Likely Friday or Saturday. Asheville has lots of good places to dine but we will need to plan ahead due to the potential size of the reservation.
Please chime in if you are interested.

Dinner sounds like a great idea. I'm not familiar with the Asheville region, so I don't really know where to suggest, but any place is fine with me. Either Fri. or Sat. would work.

Nashville might be kind of a long drive for dinner  , but Kathy & I have enjoyed Stoney Knob Cafe (http://www.stoneyknobcafe.com/). It's technically in Weaverville but is just up Merrimon Avenue from downtown. They have an enclosed porch area that I'm sure would accomodate a group but would recommend you give them a call. Nice place!

Not yet Lorraine but I am looking at Tom's suggestion and should know more by tonight's meeting.
I can't believe I wrote Nashville and didn't catch it?
