Shackleford Banks

I'm looking to do a 3 -4 day kayak trip over the Shackleford Banks next week. If anyone wants to come along or meet up for a day out there let me know.

Haven't even had my boat in the water yet. Don't feel ready for an open water trip. But while you're in the area I'd be glad to grab a bit and/or a drink with you if you'd like. I'm pretty sure you have my number.

I'd love to do a trip later in the year as I've never been there.

Steve and I were down in Congaree NP last weekend and checked out Cedar Creek which is running well now d/t all the rain. The park has improved parking and access since the last time I was there about 5 yrs. ago. Or maybe we'd like to do the Congaree itself. The 601 put-in is now under NPS control and looked fine. What about either camping at Santee SP or getting cabins for a weekend this Fall?

you might consider Santee in the Spring when the osprey and prothonatory warblers are in full force.

Change of plans on the Shackleford trip - too many responsibilities piled up over night.

I will now just be doing a couple day trips out of the Beaufort area over to Carrot Island and the Rachel Carson Estuarine Preserve to photograph birds and horses. Offer still stand. Looks like Bob might be coming out as well.
