A frequent backyard visitor, I wondered where he was lately but he showed up this morning and didn't waste any time finding breakfast. And, darn it, I missed the action (take off from the branch) again!!

Nikon D300, AF-S Nikkor 200-400mm 1:4G Lens at f8 and ISO 200.

I like they way the feathers on the back of his head & neck are erected. Good pose & good capture. Hopefully you will get a flight shot soon!
