Finally- A shot that I will be happy with for a little while. Found them in the back yard searching through a pile of leaves. I have been trying to get a good shot of a bluebird for over a year.

Good picture! I like the colors and the branches lead my eye through the image nicely. Good job getting the highlight in the eye. Did you use flash or was it the sun?

No flash- that was the sun and I had to wait for him to move into it. Thanks!

Very nice!
I have a pair every year that builds a nest but then abandon it. Can't seem to get a decent shot of them.

Good shot! Congratulations! I too like the way that the branch leads the eye to the bird. The patches of blue sky seem to add to the picture rather than detract from it for me. I've been wanting an image of a bluebird puffed up in the cold for the last couple of days. Everytime I see them puffed up, I either don't have the time for the camera or else the light isn't good enough to worry about trying.
Good capture; thanks for sharing!

Kim, very nice blue bird shot. The natural night makes the shot!
