Taken in my back yard in 2006 with my first digital SLR (Fuji S1) with a 105mm lens and a full set of extension tubes.
My first post here so hopefully I did not make a mess of it.

Glad to see your first post, it's a very cool shot, how big is this guy? Would like to see more of these.

Very nice. Have not seen one of these that I know of - are they around at a particular time of the year? Do they prefer a certain type of plant? Hope to see more of your images.

That is a really neat bug. I especially like the angle of the bug in the picture. It seems to be looking at you, but it is not a flat to the side shot either. Nice job.

Thanks for looking...
These little critters are usually 1/8" to 3/16" in length. I believe they are fairly widespread and do not seem to favor any particular plant as long as it is green and juicy. They are very quick to duck under a blade of grass or leaf though so can be a challenge to find.

Great capture of a little critter that not many of us ever notice, much less get such a good shot of it! (BTW, Welcome to the forums!!! Nope, you didn't make a mess of it...). I like the depth of field & the texture of the leaf as well. Good capture. Keep 'em coming!

Thank you, Robert. I got on a "plant hopper mission" after finding this one. Must be thousands of species of these things.
