Yet another image of a Snowy Egret taken at Savannah National Wildlife Refuge last year. I had the place to myself for most of the morning and these guys were flying back and forth in front of me for at least an hour.
Canon 1DMkIIn, 500 mm IS, tripod.

Neat shot! I like the claw-like position of it's feet as it hopped along. I wish the smartweed in the right of the frame were either in focus or out of the image though...but that's not a big deal. I do like that the smartweed provides a scale factor for me. Danged if you do; danged if you don't.

Yes, I struggled with the smartweed too. I could have cropped it out as I have enough space in front of the egret but decided to leave it in, it sort of balanced the composition.
