CALL FOR ALL PHOTOGRAPHERS!

Mint Hill Arts is proud to present it's annual photography exhibit,

"The World Well Seen"

This event will run from February 12th- March 4th, 2010

Last year's show was a huge success with over two hundred photographs displayed covering subject matter from landscapes to "mindscapes," wildlife to family life, the real and surreal.

Both MHA members and non-members are invited to enter up to four works of art.
Diptychs, triptychs, etc. will be counted as one entry if presented as ONE artistic statement.

Computer enhanced photography is acceptable.

All work must be properly framed with hanging wire installed or ready to be displayed if the work is not a standard 2-D photo.

Mint Hill Arts welcomes the challenge of presenting "unusual" work such as photos mounted on 3-D objects, projections, etc..

Our normal size limit per piece is four feet square, however over sized prints will be considered.

Any artist requiring special installation must contact Tony Billotto, Mint Hill Arts Gallery Chair at 704-844-2036 or via e-mail at aebillotto@gmail.com.

Intake will be Friday, February 5th from 4-6PM and Saturday, February 6th from 10AM-12PM in our gallery located at 7714 Matthews-Mint Hill Road, Mint Hill.

Please join us at our gallery for our Opening Reception, Friday, February 12th from 7-9PM for food, wine, soft drinks, wonderful photography and of course, nice people.

You will also love the new look of our Gift Shop which is full of art treasures for every gift occasion.

We are also accepting original artwork to be displayed in the secondary gallery. All work must be appropriately wired for hanging (no clips, sawtooth hangers, staples or tape). Work that does not adhere to these standards will be declined by the gallery committee.

In addition, framed or unframed small work, jewelry, pottery, reproductions, etc., are sought for display in the gift shop. All such items must be clearly labeled with the artist's name, price and inventory number. Please provide a bin for matted or sleeved images to be displayed in the secondary gallery.

All submissions are subject to availability of space in the gallery.

Gallery Policies

Please be aware of the following gallery policies which have been established to protect the artwork and streamline gallery procedures.

1. Due to lack of storage space at the Gallery and possibility of damage to unclaimed artwork, please be aware of the new policy regarding pick up of artwork from both gallery and off-site exhibits.

All artwork must be picked up within five (5) days of the announced pick up time. Unclaimed artwork will become the property of Mint Hill Arts.

If you are unable to pick up your work during the established time, consider asking a friend. If you need to make special arrangements, please do so prior to the established pickup time by contacting Tony Billotto for gallery exhibits or Romie Mizell for off-site work.

2. Artwork for the gift shop may be brought in or picked up on any regular gallery intake date or by appointment only. If you wish to make changes or additions to your gift shop inventory during the month, please contact Melanie Boone.

Please do not drop off, remove, or rearrange gift shop articles without notifying Melanie.
