Need help identifying this flower

Hoping someone can help me correctly identify this flower shot at Cypress Gardens

Hi Sue,

I looked through both of Porcher's books on wildflowers found in SC and did not see this one. I would guess this is not a wildflower but the ID is beyond my limited knowledge. It's a nice image though. Maybe someone else will ID it for you.

Great shot! Wish I could be sure, but just the words Cypress Gardens make me realize that it could be from ANYWHERE...

It is most likely in the Geraniaceae (Geranium family) and could actually be a true geranium (Geranium sanguineum), but without size, key characteristics, etc. I can't even be positive about the geranium family.

Thanks for taking a look for me. I feel pretty sure that it is in the geranium family because of the leaves but it threw me because most geraniums are clusters of blooms.
