Orange Butterfly

Here is a shot of a butterfly I found in Berkeley County, SC.

That's a nice Gulf Fritillary butterfly, very sharp. My only wish is that the flower was a different color than the butterfly.

Very sharp butterfly! I worked hard to get a monarch on a similarly colored zinnia (and failed). I think it is cool to have the butterfly on a "matching" flower even if the colors do make it hard to see exactly where the butterfly stops & the flower starts...

I was looking at the site with my 3 year old grand daughter and when she saw this image come up she said "its beautiful" and I agree
