I tried to release the shutter just as this drake wigeon popped back upright.
Nikon D70, Nikkor 400 mm, f/3.5, 1/800th second, ISO 200, beanbag, full frame, second levels layer adjustment for eye.

Another nice image Robert, I really like the water dripping off the end of the bill. I have a couple nits, wish there was more room on the left and bottom of the image and that the eye was a little more visible. Nice image of a duck I have yet to get an image and again I'm jealous how you were able to catch this guy just as he righted himself.

Very nice considering that you barley have time to focus and shoot. Love water on back again and agree that would be nice to see the eye with a catch light but that you even got this shot is great.

Love it. You sure do know where to go for the ducks. Also very inspiring, I think I will try to work on my waterfowl inventory (which is almost non existent).
The main thing that I think would make the photo better is if the white on the head had more detail. Regardless, I would like to have that in my collection.
