Kestrel

Here is a Kestrel from the IBOP outing. One of my very favorite birds, wish it was not captive. I have held a wild Kestrel in my hand and never got a photograph of one in the wild so this will have to suffice until I get one.

Kesterels are one of my favorite raptors. Neat image - even with the falconry attire.

Know this bird! and have seen lots of his cousins in the wild but at great distances. I too would love to get one in the wild.

Really nice detail on the chest feathers. I didn't realize how colorful a Kestrel was. I want my own photograph now.
