Hi All,

I'm finally going to convert old slide shows from trans to digital. Any suggestions about software to accomplish this task would be appreciated. I want to be able to use both vertical and horizontal pics in the same program without the problems you get with Power Point [older versions]. Looking to add music directly from CD's, edit transitions, use in digital projector as well as TV.

Thanks for your thoughts on this question.

I use the Photodex Pro Show Gold and I love it. Great transitions and music etc. and it's reasonably priced. They also have a more advanced version called Producer. Here's the websute to check out their products.

I think they have a free trial also.:D

Donna,

Thanks. This program seems to be popular with several magazine articles I have read as well.

Thanks again,
Bob

On a pc...there is a line of software from Photodex called ProShowGold that is the most customizable and is the easiest to use. It also has a nice feature missing from most slideshow options where you can sync the music to the slides. As of a couple of months ago there wasn't a Mac version of the software.

On a mac...Keynote seems to be the clear winner for most people.

I use PICTURESTOEXEC, easy to use , can sync music, and best of all you can produce a file that will play on any PC, no need for that PC to have the software.

Pro Show Gold is the best I have found, and I have tried many of them.
