Friday Morning on the Greenway - October Edition

Hi Gang -

A few of you have asked about an October Greenway outing, and I think I can squeeze one in. I’m going to have to do Friday this month as I’m headed out of town for the weekend.

I’d like to extend an invitation to anyone interested in shooting on the Torrence Creek Greenway, near my house in Huntersville, this Friday morning, October 30. There is quite a lot of good fall color around, and some of the grasses are looking very interesting. The deer are getting a little easier to spot as the vegetation thins out, but they are generally pretty shy.

I propose meeting at 8:00, which should give us plenty of time to shoot in morning light, and allow those from farther away to make the drive. If you get there early feel free to start shooting and I'll catch up. You can park in the cul-de-sac, as we will have departing traffic in the driveway about that time!

No costumes necessary!

I was hoping to make the next scheduled greenway outing as I usually don't work on Fridays. However, I'll be working tomorrow. :(

(9:30pm) Just remembered the suggested shoot for tomorrow and also remembered that tomorrow is Barbara's birthday and it would make an impression if I kept her company all day and we have reservations for dinner at the Figtree. But I see little response so I suppose the morning is off anyway.

Hey Tom! So sorry that I missed this as I so wanted to join you... Unfortunately work was extremely crazy last week and I was not able to get away. One of these day... :)DJGD

I know this is a "hit or miss" proposition for everyone, and I don't mind doing it because I am here anyway! I'll keep doing it as long as there is interest. My next attempt will be a "Black Friday" edition on 11/27 for anyone not wanting to trudge around the mall on the day after Thanksgiving. Put it on your calendars!
