Hello everyone!!
We would like to thank all those who attended the meeting Monday night. Our program was a presentation on Red River Paper Meeting In a Box and an informal discussion on inkjet printing, profiles and color management.
Karen Watras was chosen to have one of her photos to be displayed as October's cover photo for the CNPA Outer Banks Region website.
The Portsmouth Island/Ocracoke trip is scheduled for October 23-24 with 15 rooms blocked out for a rate of $79.00/night at the Anchorage Inn in Ocracoke. A boat service will transport members to and from Ocracoke Island to Portsmouth Island on Saturday, October 24, 2009. The cost of this service will be $15.00 per person roundtrip. As of the meeting, five rooms have been reserved with ten rooms remaining at the above rate. It is first come, first serve. Reservations at the Anchorage Inn have to be made by telephone. The number to the Anchorage Inn is 252-928-1101, and their website is http://www.theanchorageinn.com/.
A holiday party was discussed, and plans were made to have our holiday party for Saturday, December 5, 2009, at Phyllis Kroetsch's house in Aydlett. The party will start at 5pm and members are to bring finger foods and your own drink. All members and spouses or significant others are invited to the holiday party. More details and directions will come in an email soon by Lori Cash.

Our next meeting will be held on October 12, 2009 from 6:30-8:30pm at the Dare County Library in Kill Devil Hills. The program for our October meeting will be our quarterly photo contest. The subject of the contest will be "your best two images taken between July 1, 2009 and September 30, 2009." The images should be submitted to Lori Cash, and the deadline for October's contest will be midnight on October 5, 2009. An email with details will be sent to members reminding them of the contest.
Our next outing on September 19, 2009 will be at Sylvan Heights Waterfowl Park in Scotland Neck, NC. We will meet at 9am in the parking lot of Sylvan Heights.
