View Full Version : False Color Infrared
This is what is known as a "False Color" infrared image. The technique is one where you capture the infrared image on a modified IR Camera body and swap the RED and Blue Channels. There is some specific processing on the Blue then out pops the monochrome IR image with the blue areas of the orginal image intact. It makes for a very striking image. I do not do many of these but once in a while.......

What do you think of this technique?

This is a very interesting technique. By having the blue sky, the image looks like it was done on an icy winter day. Very nice. :)

Beautiful as usual. Once again I would readily put that up in my home for display.
Mark, I would love to see one of your infrared shots in a series with another shot done with a normal color processing camera. Maybe next time your going to do one, think about taking your other camera so we can see one with infrared and one without. It would be fun to see the difference. Just a thought.

Certainly well worth doing the false color IR processing on this one! Thanks for sharing.
