This was shot a few years ago using film. We had come back to this nest for the 3rd day in a row. The night before the raccoons had gotten to the nest and eaten the eggs. This is the female and she was very upset. The blue in the background is water not sky. We were shooting from a bridge down on the nest.

What impresses me most is that you are eye level with the bird. I have some Opsrey nest photos and you can tell they were taken from below. So I am a little jealous of your positioning. Good job! Very nice photograph too. I want to borrow your helicopter when you have a chance. ;)

I like the framing of the bird and the fact that this is not a static image. You also created a nice sense of place by including a good bit of the nest and the sand and water in the BG. Well done!! :D
