Coyote after a swim

Taken at the Bosque Del Apache Wildlife Refuge, this coyote had just been in the water after a duck or snow goose I suspect. Not sure if successful. Interesting to watch their stealth. This one crossed into a field and stayed in the shadow of a tree as he/she tried to approach some birds. Knew he couldn't do it so gave up and went into the woods. This beautiful animal was no more then 20-25 feet away from three photographers at one point - including me.

You might want to see what you can do in PS to increase contrast between the coyote and the BG.

I never see Coyotes that close. So I am impressed.

I agree with Robert, if there was a way to distinguish the subject from the background better that would only enhance the photo. Regardless, I would love to have that for my collection. I think canines must dislike me. You were blessed to be so close. I want to towell that creature off.
