The 1-1/2 mile boulder-strewn path to the falls at Jones Gap State Park in SC is one of the most beautiful hikes I've been on. The falls were about 4" wide thanks to the drought, but the hike is entirely beside the river, providing mega possibilities. I used my Olympus Evolt 300 with a 14-45 lens and an Ergorest with a ball head and quick release for a tripod. Exposure was 4.0 at 1/30. Am looking forward to spring when the laurel and rhododenron covering the mountain are blooming. Eleanor Carlisle

You captured 'tranquility and peace'. At least that's the feeling I get when I look at your photo. Very nice.

Eleanor,
I'm like Joe, I like the mood of this image. It portrays the sense of the place, a very nice place to relax and be reflective. Very nice first post. Please let us see more!!!

Very nice shot. Love that the stream is not centered. Just wants you to be there. :)

Great capture! I bet that stream would be pretty during almost any season. Thanks for sharing!
