It's almost time to leave for the Smokies! If you are going on this outing, please let me know and when you are arriving so we can have an idea of who to look out for. For those of you going up Thursday some of us are planning on doing Roaring Fork in the afternoon. I am planning on Cades Cove on Friday morning being there when it opens. Plans are subject to change due to weather so plan on being flexible. I'm looking forward to it! See you soon!:)

Hello Everyone! Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday. Well, it’s almost that time…

Outing: Cades Cove and Great Smoky Mountains National Park
Dates: Thursday, November 29, to Sunday, December 2 (or as available to participate)

Donna and I are leaving Thursday morning to head up to Townsend, TN for our outing this weekend in the Smokies. If you are going on the outing, please let either Donna (owlz@adelphia.net) or myself (debra.dandro@earthlink.net) know along with exactly when you plan on arriving (day and time) so we can have an idea of who to be on the lookout for and when (keep in mind that cell service is very minimal at best in the park). Also, please include your cell phone number too, in case I don’t already have it as well as what hotel you are staying at (especially if you are not staying at The Talley Ho Inn. Currently, I have 10 people signed up. For those going up on Thursday, some of us are planning to head up to Roaring Fork that afternoon (around 1:30 p.m. or so). In addition, we plan on being at Cades Cove bright and early Friday morning so that we’re in line well before the gate opens. More plans will be outlined once we are there. Keep in mind that plans are subject to change due to the weather, so please be flexible.

Each room has a refrigerator, microwave oven, coffee maker, private balcony, wireless internet, and is non-smoking. Also, each room is guaranteed for late arrival (if you will arrive past 9:00 p.m., please let them know). Check in is at 2:00 p.m. and check out is at 11:00 a.m. Total for Thursday through Sunday is $190.27 (we are getting a 20% discount for reserving 3 or more rooms) and full payment is due at check in. Note that a 48 hour cancellation notice is required.
