This is the walkway at Baytown Wharf in Sandestin resort in Destin Florida where I am currently staying (a photo vacation). I really like this shot because of the leading lines of the boardwalk and the sharpness and contrast that the tree/sky gives. Using a polarizer gives a very sharp contrast and graduated sky to the image and really adds a lot to the image. I find now that I leave the filter on the lens all of the time now and usually I use the 17-40 90% of the time with this body.
The more that I use this body/technoligy the more in love with it I become. I havent taken a single color image this entire trip!
This is an interesting area to visit. I went to Eglin AFB today (I have a military ID) and was amazed by all of the photo opportunities there. They say that it is the largest AFB in the world! It was full of f22's, A10's (which I thought they had retired but I guess not), f16's and 18's. It was a great visit. The beaches are as nice here as they were in the Outer Banks with lots of parks and access points. This is a good area if anyone is interested!
Hmm, why dont we add another forum for photo trip suggestions?
