Perry told me about it this morning. When I got there, the "big" fledgling
was on the limb next to the nest. This is the first day it has left the nest.
Don't know how many days before it flies away, but it is in plain sight now.
It is at Sesqui State Park in the main picnic area. The rangers roped off
the area now in orange plastic netting to cordone it off so that the
bird can fledge safely,
but, you can stand at the boundary and still get good shots.
I had a 600mm and got really nice shots. Ron used a 400mm and was happy.
I waited for a parent to come feed it, but no luck....now, that would have been a shot.
