June Outing to Reynolda Gardens

Hello Everyone! Below and attached is the complete information about our June 2009 outing to Reynolda Gardens. As you can see, we plan to be at the site in Winston-Salem by 8 a.m. on Saturday, June 20. Note that there is no cost for this outing and there is no limit on the number of participants. Please review and let me know as soon as possible if you are interested and plan on going on this outing. Also, please let me or Randy know if you have any questions. Agenda:

For those who would like to carpool we will meet in the parking lot of the Super Target off I-85 at Exit 54 at 6:30 a.m. This is the Kannapolis Parkway / George W. Liles Parkway Exit and the address for Super Target is 6150 Bayfield Parkway, Concord, NC 28027. It takes about 1 ½ hours to get to Reynolda Gardens. If the meet-up time is too early for you, you are welcome to join the group at anytime at Reynolda Gardens.
You may stay in the gardens as long as you like.
The gardens will not be closed to the general public during our visit, but this should not be a problem.
For those who would like to meet for lunch, we will eat at noon at the Village Tavern which is within the grounds of Reynolda Village, and a short walk from the gardens.

Thanks Randy and Debra for another excellent outing.
It was nice to meet our new members and spend a morning shooting flowers. And lunch was excellent too. Not to mention the brownies and ice cream.
We had never been to Reynolda Gardens, but will definitely be back to shoot again. Maybe on a cooler day. We did get a few keepers.

Thanks Edgar and Ann for the compliments. Special thanks to Randy for coordinating our adventure and Jennifer for the wonderful brownies. I also had a fabulous time (despite the hot weather), great food at Village Tavern and ice cream at Mayberry's. In addition, I got to hang out with some old friends and make some new ones and photograph a really neat place. We'll definitely put this one on the calendar again for next year. Hope everyone has cooled off and didn't get too sunburned. See you all again soon! :)DJGD

I would also like to thank you for setting up this outing (air conditioning would be nice next time :D ). Seriously, though, I had a GREAT time!! It was good to meet you all. I got some of the best shots I have ever taken. You guys are already rubbing off on me.

As far as the food goes, Jennifer's brownies top the list. Thanks, Jennifer!! Ice cream??? I didn't see any ice cream - maybe because I inhaled mine!!!
