Assassin Bug

Took this at the Riverbanks Botanical Garden a few weeks ago. It is an assassin bug eating an unlucky bee. I'm not sure what kind of plant he is on, but if anyone can identify it, I would like to know.

Shot with Canon Rebel XTi EF100 f/2.8 Macro USM and 430EX Speedlite.

Jennifer, not sure about the plant but that bug does look deadly. Neat shot although I bet the bee wasn't happy.

Great shot! Good thing you were there to capture it. By the way, I think the plant is a type of salvia.
