Taken at Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden last month. I had never seen one of these things before, and did not have a clue what it was until someone told me. I am loving this nature photography. I am learning more about photography and a whole lot more about nature. What a fascinating world it is! I can't read the metadata here at the office (shh!), but I think it was - Canon 5D, 100-400 mm w/ 12mm extension tube, ISO 400, f/5.6@1/400, handheld.
Comments/suggestions/memory cards welcome.

Beautiful contrast in colors. I haven't seen one of these previously. Small things can certainly be fascinating.

Cool shot with great colors & composition! It is amazing how many people SWEAR these are "baby hummingbirds" and that they "can't be moths!".
There is a dust spot near the upper right power point that could go away, and I'd like a tad more room behind the moth, but other than those two minor nits - it is a great shot.

Great shot, good composition with a clean background. Agree with Robert on the couple small nits, both easily fixed. Nice job.
Very nice capture and composition. I agree on the dirt but also think that the image is slightly contrasty and could be backed off a little to show some detail in the body of the moth. I like this one!

What a cool moth. I would like to see just a bit more room behind the moth, but I love the pop of the flowers against the background. Nice job. :)
