I thought this might be of interest to the group:

A special episode of UNC-TV’s Exploring North Carolina featuring Hugh Morton and Grandfather Mountain will air statewide for the first time tomorrow evening, Thursday, March 5, at 8:30 PM and again on Friday, March 6, at 9:30 PM. Host Tom Earnhardt describes the program as “a mix of biography, biodiversity, geology and Hugh Morton’s phenomenal photographs from the North Carolina Collection at UNC-Chapel Hill.”

Thanks for the heads up on this Tom,

I am glad I have the DVR, It should be a good show. Also everyone needs to be aware the sign up for the Grandfather Mountain Nature Photography Weekend is on April 1, 2009. Scheduled are Tony Sweet, Jim Clark and Pam Barbour. If you are interested in attending don't delay on registering at

http://www.grandfather.com/planning_your_visit/events/nphoto.php

The 165 seats typically sell out quickly.

Hello Tom and Edgar! Thank you so much for mentioning this. I did catch part of the Hugh Morton special the other night and it was very good. From the few pieces I was able to watch, I would love to get a copy of the entire program. I tried to find it on the website and didn't see that one listed yet. Let me know if you have any ideas or come across it online as this would definitely be a good one to have in the DVD collection. Thanks! :)DJGD
