Scott -

That looks like an excellent opportunity for the art-minded among us. Thanks for sharing!

Hey Tom,

Your welcome; thanks for responding.

To let you know, the group has been around a while; however, they really want to pump life into it. Another activity they would like to get going is a critique group. While I know you and Don are working to create a group (I joined John's group), give it some thought; it seems they really want to invest the time and effort to getting artist together and help us all grow in our expression.

I joined last month and participated in an earlier show; they have a nice core group of people; I enjoyed myself.

Lastly, I am sorry for not replying to your Brevard outing and the REI print (I actually focused on printing for the LKN Art Show). I would like to talk with you about the Brevard outing. The value I might be able to bring (I know others could do this as well) is explaining how I have worked to become a better visual storyteller. The hope would be to help someone else begin to hear their voice - the voice that is waiting to be released.

Scott -

Thanks for the additional information. I know that the Lake Norman Art League has been around for a while, but it seems like their interest in photography must be fairly recent. I remember looking into them a few years ago and that was not the case.

I know you and John have been participating in the Light Factory's Sunday Salon and I am hoping to make that this month. The group that Don & I discussed hasn't gotten off the ground, but there is plenty of room for everyone, I don't think one excludes the other and I believe strongly in exchanging as much information as possible with as many people as possible.

I'm looking forward to exploring this some more!

Tom,

Your right; their focus on photography is fairly recent. I agree; the bigger the circle of idea exchange, the better. I have really enjoyed the LightFactory Salon; it's always a blast to be around creative types. I know the group would benefit from you being there.

There is a critique tomorrow night from the LKN group. I know it's short notice, but I will send you the details.

Take care,
Scott
