We need to start planning our lodging for the end of Nov outing at Cades Cove. The Talley Ho Inn in Townsend Tn offers a 20% discount for groups needing 3 rooms or more. It seems to be a good place and other nature photography groups and workshops utilize the inn. I am in for one room and will be arriving on Thursday evening 11/29 to stay through Sunday noon. Ann and I are looking forward to the weekend,

Hello Everyone! For those of you interested in going on our November 29 to December 2 outing to Cades Cove and Great Smoky Mountains National Park, please read this email. I called The Talley Ho Inn in Townsend, TN and they apparently have limited availability for the dates we need. As of now, I have 8 additional rooms on hold under “CNPA Charlotte / Debra Dandro” on my credit card. Unfortunately, they can only hold them until Thursday, November 15 (Maria did this as a favor to me as they typically only hold rooms up to a month out from the date of arrival). If you don’t reserve them by that date, they are going to release the rooms. Here is the contact information for the hotel:
The Talley Ho Inn
Townsend, TN

Rooms currently being held:
- 2 rooms with 2 Queen beds
- 3 rooms with 2 Double beds
- 3 rooms with 1 King bed
Each room has a refrigerator, microwave oven, coffee maker, private balcony, wireless internet, and is non-smoking. Also, each room is guaranteed for late arrival (if you will arrive past 9:00 p.m., please let them know). Check in is at 2:00 p.m. and check out is at 11:00 a.m. Total for Thursday through Sunday is $190.27 (we are getting a 20% discount for reserving 3 or more rooms) and full payment is due at check in. Note that a 48 hour cancellation notice is required.
Please let me know if you plan on going on this adventure and I will add you to the outing list. In addition, please book your hotel reservations soon. Once all The Talley Ho Inn rooms have been reserved (please let me know if you call and no more are available), I’ll reserve another block of rooms at another hotel, if needed. Take care and hope to see you soon! :)DJGD

I booked a non-smoking room with two Queen-beds ... let me know if you want to split a room (Marcia can't go). But truth and disclosure laws force me to admit I'm a heavy snorer. The room reservation is for Thursday night through Sunday morning.
