Took this shot this weekend while on the Midland's outing to BlackJack's Heritage Preserve. I believe this to be an orbweaver spider. Taken with a 70-200 mm f4 lens on a tripod. There were lots of spiders and a neat turtle along with some rare flowers. This is full frame, no crops.
Comments and critique welcome.

Nice image Robert. This is one of the (few) cases where a bullseyed composition works. I wonder what the vertical would look like. You did shoot a vertical, didn't you? :D

Bruce, it's kinda funny I probably shoot 70% of my non-flight shots as a vertical. In this case I didn't.:(
I can flip it 90° in Photoshop however.;)

A vertical crop might be very nice but I sort of like the size of the web. Neat shot.

I am awestruck over the different spiders and the webs unique to them, and they didn't go to web school to learn how!
